The Advertising Graphic Design program covers a broad range of art forms that includes image manipulation, concept drawing, computer graphics, and typography. In Graphic Design, you will learn how to produce your own designs and printed projects using industry standard technology.

Guided by a team of industry experienced educators, the Broadcasting Media Arts program allows you to develop skills in all aspects of video production. From pre-production to post, you will develop technical proficiency with hands on experience utilizing high quality, professional sound and video gathering equipment. Then, edit and finalize your footage with powerful post-production software. This vocation offers you opportunities to demonstrate your skills with practical experience, both in and outside of the school environment, with professional instruction, in staged and live broadcast situations.

The Graphic Communications & Print Technology program is a blend of computer design and hands on production work. Graphics typically includes: image manipulations, concept or idea drawing, printing, typography and lettering, screen-printing, computer graphics, and bindery. Graphic students learn how to produce just about anything designed and printed (e.g. t-shirt printing, books, CD covers, packaging, flyers, greeting cards, calendars, posters). Students will learn a wide range of skills from design with industry standard software (MAC), screen-printing, vinyl and sign making, laser cutting and engraving, and bindery and finishing.

The Interactive Digital Media program allows you to step into the fast growing world of interactive media design. This program will help you develop skills to create websites, program applications, video games and 2D and 3D animations.

Courses in this program are currently available as optional credits for students. The full Interactive Digital Media program is being implemented in stages: Grade 10 in 2021-22, Grade 11 in 2022-23 and Grade 12 in 2023-24.

The Professional Photography program allows you to develop skills in all aspects of photography. You will have opportunities to use photographic and lighting industry standard tools. This program provides you with opportunities to build your skills with practical experiences in and out of the classroom. The Tec-Voc Professional Photography program is the oldest running photography school and the largest high school photography program in Canada.
