The Elmwood Giants are a varsity basketball team that truly embodies the phrase “All heart”. Despite being frequently overlooked, the Giants have come together to form a tight-knit unit that is determined to prove their worth on the court.

The Giants’ never-say-die mentality has enabled them to overcome many obstacles, despite what people may think of them and their size. They may not always come out on top, but they never give up, and their tenacity has won them the respect of their opponents.

Leading the charge for the Giants is their captain and point guard, Jahmar, who may not be the tallest player on the court, but is known for his steady hand, clean shots and ability to bring out the best in his teammates. Alongside Jahmar is shooting guard Josh, whose outside shooting and infectious energy have become key components of the Giants’ offense.

Other key players for the Giants include centre Joseph, who uses his size and strength to battle for rebounds and scoring opportunities. As well as power forward Destiny, whose strength and mindset make him a threat on both ends of the court.

Overall, the Elmwood Giants may not be the most gifted team, but they more than make up for it with their heart and determination. They may be the underdogs, but they are always ready to rise to the challenge and give it their all.
