Returning Players & New Prospects

The Nelson McIntyre Torchbearers are making their first appearance in the W.I.T. They return a core group of grade 12’s from last year’s team and add some talented grade 11’s in key positions. The Torchbearers will look for leadership from grade 11 guard Jordan Hernandez #1 on offence and look to senior John Beeusaert #12 to anchor the defence.

Teams Play Style

The Torchbearers will look to get up and down the floor and score in transition. They will count on a tough half court defence to keep them in games.

Goals for the Season and Last Years Achievements

The Torchbearers hope to return to the AAA Provincial Championship for the first time since 2018. To do so, they will need to improve on their #6 AAA provincial ranking that they ended the season with last year.
